A place of crosses... a place of beauty... a place for people... |
Regardless of the season one can enjoy the peaceful surrounding of God’s own handiwork when visiting our 350 acre forest that borders a 60 acre clear blue lake. Wildlife and vegetation of all types abound. One is reminded that in nature such as this God seems to make His own temple for us to enjoy and share with one another. All the scenery, work and play that is performed and enjoyed here is for one main purpose and that is to bring us all closer to God and His saving grace. a place of crosses...a place of beauty...a place for people ...a place of history Located on the grounds is the Alabama-West Florida Historical Shrine, the restored Ebenezer Church which was built in 1823. It was moved to Blue Lake in 1969 and renamed the Lambuth Memorial Chapel. It is here in this lovely setting, complete with its original Bible, pump organ, and lanterns, that candlelight communions are held. ...a place of study A full schedule of camping for all ages is available year round to rising fourth graders to senior adults. Blue Lake is host to Camp Discovery for inner city children, Sunshine Camp for adult mentally handicapped, and Camp Quarternote, a choir camp for children of all ages. Blue Lake is also host to Chrysalis for youth, Journey for college age and Emmaus for adults. All camps are designed to enhance spiritual growth and a positive self-image. Facilities are also available for church families and Choir camps. ...a place for play Facilities are available for swimming, canoeing, paddle boating, tractor pulled hay rides, ping-pong, horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, four square ball and hiking.
